"Independent U.S. distributors

Mondo Macbro have detailed their upcoming Blu-ray release of Lucio Fulci's film Lizard in a Woman's Skin (1971), starring Florinda Bolkan, Anita Strindberg, Stanley Baker, Jean Sorel, and Silvia Monti. An exclusive LE edition (in a red case) limited to 999 units is expected to arrive on the market in late November. A standard Blu-ray release is expected to be available for purchase early next year."

Synopsis: "Carol Hammond (Florinda Bolkan, Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion) is a sophisticated politician's daughter who experiences a series of vivid, psychedelic nightmares drenched in depraved sex orgies and LSD. The dreams turns into a nightmare featuring the death of her neighbor, Julia Dürer (Anita Strindberg, The Eroticist). The next day Julia is found brutally murdered in her own apartment."

"The investigation, conducted by Inspector Corvin (Stanley Baker, The Guns of Navarone), leads to Carol's arrest, however she is released after a mysterious man confesses to Scotland Yard that he is the murderer. Not convinced of Carol's innocence, Corvin continues to investigate the murder and unearths new disturbing clues … Did Carol really do it or is she being framed? Where do her dreams end and reality begin? This thriller from Lucio Fulci (Perversion Story) is acclaimed as a masterpiece of the Italian giallo thriller genre and its psychedelic Ennio Morricone score ranks among the best of Il Maestro's work."

"U.S. Paramount has just made a deal with the German company 84' which is going to release Blu Ray Mediabooks of Friday The 13th (part 2-8 + Remake), Pet Cemetary 1+2, The Fly 2 and more."blu-ray.com

"Kreikka-kohtauksia" on turha odottaa.

Miksi Saksalainen Mediabook Pray for Death blu-ray julkaisussa Uncut kohtaukset piti ottaa Ranskalaisesta elokuvaprintistä? Jos MGMllä oli tarjolla myös leikkaamaton versio?

Tuon kysymyksen kanssa painii jo useampikin taho. Kunhan nyt taas katsotaan tappiin saakka mitä tuleman pitää. Näissä kuvioissa rulahtaa lahkeille liian usein ja liian varhain.

Is PRAY FOR DEATH gonna be UNCUT like the German release?

101 Films

Hi, sorry but it's the regular version

101 Films on yksi vähiten luottamusta herättävä toimija, jonka käsiin en antaisi edes Harlinin nykytuotantoa.

Release Date: 1st February

Region: B/2

"ISLAND OF TERROR!"

"A weekend retreat on a private island should be a recipe for rest and relaxation unless youre appearing in a giallo by the master of the macabre, Mario Bava (Black Sunday, Blood and Black Lace)..."

"Wealthy industrialist George Stark (Teodora Corrà, Django the Bastard) has gathered a group of friends – played by a who's who of Italian genre cinema including William Berger (Faccia a faccia), Ira von Fürstenberg (The Fifth Cord), Edwige Fenech (Your Vice is a Locked Room and Only I Have the Key) and Howard Ross (The New York Ripper) – to his island retreat. He hopes to entice them into investing in a new project, but soon the sunbathing and cocktails parties give way to murder, as the corpses begin to pile up one by one."

"Paying homage to Agatha Christies Ten Little Indians, Five Dolls for an August Moon turns the style up to ten. Surrounded by beautiful women, stunning locations and flamboyant fashions – and abetted by Piero Umilianis equally exotic score – Bava creates one of his most eye-catching movies, a visual tour de force."

Itselläni on luottamusta tulevaan Arrowin Pray for Death jenkki julkaisuun, että pistin oman Mediabook julkaisun myyntiin huuto.nettiin. Tulevan julkaisun ekstratkin ovat mukava lisä.

Neon Maniac 8.11.2015 20:16

^ Extroista harvoin oikeasti perustan, mutta Arrow on julkaisijana kiistatta kolmen kovimman kärjessä, vaikka kansikuvakonsepteissa on ollut havaittavissa hienoista hyytymistä männä vuosien vedoksiin – olkoonkin, että alkuperäinen kuva löytyy useimmista painoksista kannen kääntöpuolelta vakiona. Esimerkeiksi vähemmän hohdokkaista hetkistä tässä mielessä nostaisin Hellraiser Scarlet Boxin sekä juuri mainitun Pray for Death ‑julkaisujen estetiikan. Osbornen kaltaisen taiteilijan palkkaaminen tuskin olisi ainakaan tappioksi. Miehen kädenjälki on vakuuttanut mm. Scream Factory ‑julkaisuissa kerta toisensa jälkeen.

Edit. Tästä osoituksena tätä nykyä jo surullisen suuri määrä toinen toistaan järkyttävämpiä photoshoppeeloiluja, joita on vaikea katsoa kakomatta.
