Scream! Factory:

"1985's HOWLING II will be coming out later on in the Summer! We were not prepared to announce the title at this time but the cat (or, in this case, wolf) was let out of the bag from another source. We have no details at this time and we hope that fans of this cult classic are pleased to see this arrive on Blu-ray for the first time!"

Edit. Scream! Factory:

"We have some A-number one updates to report today regarding our upcoming (and highly-anticipated) Collector's Edition of John Carpenter's legendary film ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK."

"Heres an exclusive first look at the official newly-commissioned artwork which comes courtesy to us from artist Paul Shipper (Halloween: The Complete Collection). Snake is centrally focused of course, but we felt that it was important to showcase the incredible ensemble cast who are all vitally important to the film too. Purists can rejoice: The iconic original poster art with the beheaded Statue of Liberty will be on the reverse wrap and we wouldnt dream of not including it!"

"Extras (new & existing) are still in progress and will be announced in full details sometime in Feb.
This is a 2-disc blu-ray set and will exceed the previous DVD special edition.

Last and not least (and which will be good news to fans hoping this would happen): We have created a brand new 2K High Definition scan of the inter-positive, struck from the original negative."

"This is a Region A release. Street date is 4/21."

The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Miss Osbourne

Release Date UK: 20th April 2015

Release Date North America: 21st April 2015

Format: Dual Format Blu-ray + DVD

Starring: Udo Kier, Marina Pierro, Patrick Magee

Directed by: Walerian Borowczyk

Synopsis: Potent and poetic, mischievous and macabre, Borowczyks film shows how many imaginative worlds the horror movie can open up when the right artist holds the keys (Nigel Andrews, Financial Times)

Its the engagement party for brilliant young Dr Henry Jekyll (Udo Kier) and his fiancée, the beautiful Fanny Osbourne (Marina Pierro), attended by various pillars of Victorian society, including the astonishing Patrick Magee in one of his final roles. But when people are found raped and murdered outside and ultimately inside the house, it becomes clear that a madman has broken in to disrupt the festivities but who is he? And why does Dr Jekyll keep sneaking off to his laboratory?

We know the answer, of course, but Walerian Borowczyks visually stunning adaptation of Robert Louis Stevensons much-filmed tale is crammed with wildly imaginative and outrageously perverse touches characteristic of the man who scandalised audiences with Immoral Tales and The Beast, not least the explicitly sexualised nature of Mr Hydes primal urges.

Ten Seconds to Hell

Blu-ray and DVD

Street Date: February 24, 2015

1959/B&W/93 mins/1.66:1/1920x1080p/English subtitles/Not Rated

"Newly Re-mastered in HD! In Ten Seconds Thousands Will Be Blown to Hell! From Robert Aldrich, the legendary director of The Dirty Dozen and Too Late the Hero, comes another WWII classic. Jeff Chandler (Merrill's Marauders) and Jack Palance ( Attack) co-star as German demolition experts Karl Wirtz and Eric Koetner."

"Returning to bombed-out Berlin the two men accept the very dangerous, but high paying job of defusing unexploded Allied bombs scattered throughout the city. The two men and other members of the bomb squad soon agree to a macabre pact donating half their paychecks into a pool that in three months would be split evenly between the survivors... as Karl and Eric vie for the affections of Margot Hofer (Martine Carol, Lola Montès), adding to the growing tension between the two men. Aldrich pays meticulous attention to the details of bomb deactivation and Ernest Lazlo's ( Stalag 17) crisp monochrome camerawork a dark and grim version of the German capital."

52 Pick-Up

"Greed! Extortion! Revenge! Based on an exciting bestseller by the great Elmore Leonard ( Out of Sight) with a screenplay by Leonard and John Steppling and top-notch direction by legendary filmmaker, John Frankenheimer (The Manchurian Candidate)."

"52 Pick-Up evokes the chilling reminder that if you have a lot, you can loose a lot. Life is good for Los Angeles entrepreneur Harry Mitchell (Roy Scheider, Last Embrace)... great business, beautiful home and a gorgeous wife (Ann-Margret, Bye Bye Birdie). Just when he thinks he'll land a seat on the city council, Harry's life suddenly spins out of control when a trio of pornographers, led by the ruthless Alan Raimy (John Glover,Gremlins 2), shows up with a video of Harry in bed with his mistress (Kelly Preston, Twins). And when Harry goes on the offensive and tries to pit one blackmailer against the other, the tension mounts – as does the possibility of murder. The stellar cast includes Clarence Williams III (TV's Mod Squad), Vanity (Action Jackson) and Doug McClure ( At the Earth's Core)."

"Superstar Sylvester Stallone ( Rocky) stars in this hard-hitting, boldly ambitious drama that powerfully reveals a significant slice of American history. As union leader Johnny Kovak, Stallone's performance confirmed his stature as one of Hollywood's hottest stars. Closely paralleling history, the film follows the rise and fall of Kovak, from his beginnings as an idealistic blue-collar worker to his final position as head of one of the country's most powerful unions: the Federation of Inter-State Truckers. But there are no unscarred heroes in this world... to achieve his dream of justice for the workingman; Kovak must accept the muscle of organized crime."

"Ultimately, F.I.S.T. is a story of idealism corrupted and betrayed. Acting greats Rod Steiger and Peter Boyle lead a fine supporting cast that includes Melinda Dillon, Kevin Conway, Tony Lo Bianco and Brian Dennehy. Wonderfully directed by Norman Jewison ( The Russians Are Coming The Russians Are Coming) with beautiful and moody cinematography by Laszlo Kovacs (Easy Rider). Varhaista ennakkoa (Creature From Black Lake lukuun ottamatta, josta jo aiemmin on tiedotettu) tulevista

Synapse Films ‑julkaisuista, joiden tarkempi ilmestymisajankohta on vielä toistaiseksi vailla julkistusta..

"Right now, the company is hard at work on its trio of Dario Argento titles: PHENOMENA (a.k.a. CREEPERS), TENEBRE and, further down the road, the 4K restoration of SUSPIRIA. Synapses Don May Jr. tells, Were working with the high-definition PHENOMENA and TENEBRE masters from Frances Wild Side, but doing additional work to make the presentations the best they can be. Its not confirmed yet, but our plan is to include all three editions of PHENOMENA: the 116-minute version, the 110-minute version and New Lines 82-minute CREEPERS. It might be fun to include CREEPERS in hi-def for the first time. Both PHENOMENA and TENEBRE will include new interviews and other bonus features as well."

"From the sublimely stylish to the ridiculous, Synapse is also busy preparing Harold P. Warrens classic Z-movie MANOS: THE HANDS OF FATE for its hi-def unveiling, working from a restoration by Ben Solvey. Its been a long road, May says, but were excited that Ben has picked us to help him release MANOS. Were in authoring and compression right now, and we have extras created by Ben and Daniel Griffiths Ballyhoo Motion Pictures, including a making-of and a commentary."

In addition, May reveals that their special edition of Curt McDowells bizarre adult/horror/mystery/black comedy THUNDERCRACK! will be out for its 40th anniversary this year, which will also see Synapses releases of Jim McCulloughs Bigfoot cult fave CREATURE FROM BLACK LAKE, Jim Wynorskis SORCERESS starring Julie Strain and Linda Blair and Kurando Mitsutakes SAMURAI AVENGER."

Edit. Japanin Amazon tarjoaa jo kuvan mukaisen blu-ray-boksin parasta Buttgereit'ia niille, joille esim. enkkusubeilla varustetun Nekromantik 2:n tahi Der Todesking:n odottelu tuntuu epäinhimilliseltä. Perinteisesti vain japani-subeilla.

***THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE RELEASE DATE UPDATE & FINAL SPECS***

Due to a slight materials delay we have decided to move the release date of this title to 23rd of February to ensure we are able to meet our revised manufacturing deadlines. We hope you wont be too disappointed by this news and as a small consolation we are very pleased to be able to reveal the brand new commissioned art by Jay Shaw and the final specs which are as follows:

Synopsis: "WHY DONT YOU PASS THE TIME BY PLAYING A LITTLE SOLITAIRE?"

"After saving the lives of his platoon during the Korean War, Sergeant Raymond Shaw (Laurence Harvey) is hailed as a bona fide American hero. This couldnt have come at a better time for his mother (Angela Lansbury) who is hell-bent on boosting the career of his stepfather, a senator straight from the McCarthyite wing of the US political spectrum with designs on the Presidency."

"So far so familiar but why does Shaws former captain (Frank Sinatra) have recurring nightmares that suggest that his distinguished comrade-in-arms might not be all that he seems?"

"Based on the memorably paranoid bestseller by Richard Condon (Prizzis Honor), this is one of the greatest of all Cold War suspense thrillers, not least for its alarmingly original take on the notion of the enemy within."

"Angela Lansbury won multiple awards and an Oscar® nomination for her performance as one of the most monstrous mothers in screen history, but perhaps the most unnerving thing about the film is the way that its political satire remains so perfectly on target more than half a century later."
