Hyvä vinkki. Melkein olisin voinut laittaa heti tilaukseen mutta tuo kirjamainen pakkaus jonka pahvien väliin tungetaan kiekkoja jotenkin tökkii. Kyllä tuohon hintaan ($90 + postit + ALV Suomessa) pitäisi minusta saada jo kunnon kotelo/kotelot. Ehkä tässä pitäisi vain odottaa erillisiä BD-julkaisuja kunnon koteloilla jotka varmaan jollain aikataululla kuitenkin tulee.

Ostin jokin aika sitten uusintakatseluun F13 sarjan kahdeksan DVD-elokuvan kokoelman ja siinäkin oli vastaavanlainen kirjakotelo. Ihan kuin julkaisijat ei oikein arvostaisi tätä sarjaa.

Olisi erittäin hyvä jos Friday the 13th Part 3 olisi mukana nykyajan 3D:nä mutta ei varmaan taida olla.

Hyvinkin tervetullut uutinen, kun huomioi aiemmin julkaistujen dvd:n laadun tahi paremmin em. puutteen. OAR lienee toistaiseksi tarjolla vain Universal Pictures:n R1-julkaisuissa. Koko saagan (I-IV) näkisi mielellään anamorfisena asianmukaisesti masteroituina sekä extrojen kera, yksissä koteloissa ja PAL-formaatissa luonnollisesti.

Tästähän on brittijulkaisu ollut saatavissa jo yli vuoden. Liekö sitten nuo Studio Canal ‑julkaisun ongelmat tässä korjattu. Ei ole itsellä tullut vielä levyä vilkaistua, vaikka hyllyssä ollut jo edelliskesästä....


Aiemmin mainituista Maniac Cop 2&3 oli kyllä mukava uutinen, kakkonen on mun mielestä huomattavasti ekaa parempi ja kolmonen on vielä kokonaan näkemättä.

Näin on. Nuo mainitsemas "SC-julkaisun ongelmat" onkin jotain aivan uutta. Mistä tarkalleenottaen kyse?


Maniac Cop 2 on kestosuosikki, jota (kuten useimmat) on tullut odotettua aivan liian pitkään päivitettynä julkaisuna.

Toinen jatko-osa on itseltäkin yhä näkemättä. Liekkö ensimmäinen kerta, kun tuosta on unrated ‑painos levitetty? Dvdcompare(kin) yhtä ärrää kaikki tyynni. Kuitenkin toistaiseksi ehkä eniten arvelluttaa se miten Blue Underground on hoitanut alkuperäisen kuvasuhteen painokseen?

"William Lustig stated in an interview with HotD magazine the aspect ratio to be 2.35:1. IMDB also state this to be the original aspect ratio. However, the film itself does not look as though it has been shot with scope in mind and many other sources say the original aspect ratio is 1.33:1."

Näin on. Nuo mainitsemas "SC-julkaisun ongelmat" onkin jotain aivan uutta. Mistä tarkalleenottaen kyse?

Toi sekä myös Hammerin ensimmäinen Dracula ja Curse of Frankenstein ovat saaneet vähän ristiriitaista palautetta kuvanlaadun osalta, mutta epäilen että kyse on pikemminkin siitä että Quatermass and the Pit oli niin kertakaikkisen loistava kuvanlaadultaan, että porukka pitää sitä vertailukohtana. Kumpikin Dracula löytyy hyllystä, mutta ei ole tullut vielä tsekattua.
