Ilmeisesti uncut, toisin kuin ruotsalainen kassu...

On kyllä niin armottoman tylsä elokuva, että katsojalta edellytetään varsin kovaa svedofiliaa. (Vaikutelmani perustuu Suomi-teatteriprintistä masteroituun Star-Videon kasettiin, en tiedä oliko leikkaamaton mutta ainakin huonolaatuinen.)

Heh, minä pidän tästä... FIx on leikkaamaton, tai ainakin pidempi kuin toi ruotsalainen kassu.

No ei olisi varmaan pitänyt myydä Yön 1000 silmän FIxiä ulosheittohintaan Wick, öh, Vikmanille. Silti en jaksa kaivata leffaa millään tasolla, enintään patinaisia Star-Videon kansia. Sekä kauhu- että erotiikkafanien huijaamista tönköllä ja frigidillä nuorenparin tasapaksun maaseutuelämän kuvauksella, jossa ei ole muuta hyvää kuin nimi. -_-

In DOUBLE GAME, the wife of a wealthy doctor is fatally stabbed in a city park while a gang of young thugs targets cinemas and supermarkets for smash and grab heists and a 17-year-old girl is raped and strangled with wire, the work of a likely sex maniac. With a gang war about to erupt between the local dons and an invading French outfit, police inspectors Moretti (George Hilton) and Danieli (Emanuel Cannarsa) have their hands full trying to stop Turin from becoming the crime capital of the world. Unknown to Danieli, his partner moonlights as a vigilante killer calling himself "The Avenger" and working outside the law as judge, jury and executioner for all of Turin's underworld.



Released in the United States as DOUBLE GAME, this ultra-rare Italo-cop film was made as Torino Violenta with George Hilton (THE STRANGE VICE OF MRS. WARDH) in a typically take-charge performance as the two-faced Moretti. With UNO BIANCA, the Italian maestro of suspense Michele Soavi (CEMETARY MAN, THE CHURCH) tries his hand at the Italo-crime genre with this fast-paced, violent thriller in the tradition of Michael Mann's HEAT. Kim Rossi-Stuart (THE NAME OF THE ROSE, PINOCCHIO) and Dino Abbrescia (I'M NOT SCARED) star as police detectives on the trail of a criminal gang targeting banks, supermarkets and gas stations along the Rimini coast. Always one step behind the perpetrators, the authorities' only clue is the villain's choice of getaway car, a white Fiat Uno. BCI has finalized a deal with a major rights owner of Spanish horror films to release in America six Paul Naschy titles on DVD. Included in the deal are two Amando de Ossorio titles, and one Leon Klimovsky film. Word is that HD anamorphic transfers are being prepared and that the releases will contain generous supplemental material. The Naschy titles are: NIGHT OF THE WEREWOLF (THE CRAVING), EXORCISM, VENGEANCE OF THE ZOMBIES, HUMAN BEASTS, HORROR RISES FROM THE TOMB, BLUE EYES OF THE BROKEN DOLL (HOUSE OF PSYCHOTIC WOMEN). Absurdilta tms. olisi saattanut irrota hieman halvemmalla, mutta Xploitedilla sai jo tilauksen laitettua ja onpa ainakin tuttu ja turvallinen liike (ei sillä, että olisin pahaa kuullut Absurdistakaan, mutta hintaero on varmaankin näiden kahden välillä aika pieni).

Ja uskoisinpa, että tämä on taas niitä oikeasti rajoitettuja painoksia jotka myydään kohtuullisessa ajassa loppuun, vrt. edellä mainittu Bava.
