Shaw Brothers Elokuva-arkistossa!

Blood Brothers oli  komea leffa. Taidokkaita taisteluita ilman mitään ihmeellisyyksiä. Tarinakin oli vaikuttava ja tämä kolmiodraama tehosi ainakin minuun. Ti Lung taisi tehdä elämänsä roolin, oli aivan loistava.

Olis ollut katanalle käyttöä keskiviikon näytöksessä. Mun molemmilla puolilla istui kännykkähäirikkö ja toinen vielä oli krooninen rapistelija. Onneksi elokuva oli niiiiin hyvä etten juurikaan häiriintynyt.



En ole niin hirveästi nähnyt näitä jätkiä elokuvissa, mutta väitän että muukin porukka oli näyttelytyön osalta parhaimmillaan. Toimintakohtaukset eivät olleet mitenkään ikimuistoisia, mutta kun se kaikki muu oli niin gutaa että. Draaman osalta tämä oli takuulla yksi parhaimmista taistelulajielokuvista mitä olen koskaan nähnyt. Piste.

Blood Brothersin toinen ja viimeinen näytös lauantaina klo 19.00.

Pitää varmaan tulla katsomaan kun noin kovasti kehutaan.

Oho, olen laiminlyönyt kännykkäpoliisin tehtäväni. Onneksi en huomannut mitään. En ole viitsinyt katanaa raahata SEAn näytöksiin, mutta pitäiskö kuitenkin varuiksi ottaa tiistaina 5 Deadly Venomsiin?

Pitää varmaan tulla katsomaan kun noin kovasti kehutaan.

Ehdottomasti pitää. Myös kaikkien narukungfu:n vihaajien kannattaa olla paikalla. Tässä ei naruilla leikitä vaan nyrkeillä.

EDIT: Kyllä ne tagit saa toimimaan jos niitä osaa käyttää. t. admin

5 Venoms oli parempi kuin muistin. Henkilöhahmot olivat aika hyviä ja muutama ihan taidokas matsikin oli mukana, varsinkin se viimeinen (vaikka aiheuttikin katsomossa hekotuskohtauksia). Leffa ei kuitenkaan yllä Chang Cheh'n parhaimmistoon.

Huh, monessakin suhteessa mielenkiintoinen keissi. Chang Chehin leffojen gay-analyysit menevät joskus vähän harhapoluille, mutta Venom-ukoissa ja heidän koreassa puvustuksessaan on vaikea olla näkemättä homoestetiikkaa. Tarinassa on lähes koko ajan kyse miesparien muodostumisesta tai hajoamisesta sekä oman kaappi-identiteetin salailusta. Edes sivuhenkilöissä ei ole yhtään naista.

Joo tuli minullekin mieleen, että leffa taisi olla oikea homojen unelmaleffa. Yritin olla ajattelematta asiaa, mutta sille ei voinut mitään.

Return to the 36th ylitti odotukset roimasti. Huh! Onneksi tää urakka loppui tähän. Shaw-elokuvia, Godardia, Bergmania ja tällaisia ei vaan jaksa katsoa joka päivä.

Urakan päätteeksi pitäisi vielä katsoa Seitsemän Samuraita, kun se näin sopivasti tulee Kinariin. Mutta taitaa jäädä ensi viikkoon, toivottavasti menee vielä.

Eihän me vielä tähän lopeteta. Luvassa on vielä seuraavat neljä skriinausta, hyvin mahdollisesti viimeiset tilaisuudet nähdä Suomessa Shaw-klasareita elokuvateatterin valkokankaalla (SB-leffojen katsominen DVD:ltä ei jostain syystä ikinä skulaa ihan samalla tavalla).

RETURN TO THE 36TH CHAMBER oli mun mielestä huono. Se surffaili jopa todella huonon rajoilla. Huumori oli juuri niin ärsyttävää kun saattoi etukäteen kuvitella ja käsikirjoitus oli surkea, muutamaa mielenkiintoista teemaa lukuunottamatta. Aivan karsee pettymys mutta suurin osa ihmisistä tuntui diggailevan niin mikäs siinä. Eight Diagram Pole Fighter tänään tai sunnuntaina. Saas nähä.

RETURN TO THE 36TH CHAMBER  oli mun mielestä huono. Se surffaili jopa todella huonon rajoilla. Huumori oli juuri niin ärsyttävää kun saattoi etukäteen kuvitella ja käsikirjoitus oli surkea, muutamaa mielenkiintoista teemaa lukuunottamatta.

Itse taas innostuin alussa, kun tosikkomaisten Shaw-luukutusten jälkeen tuli elokuva, joka ymmärtää genren kliseet ja rakentaa niistä mukavasti huumoria olematta mikään parodia. Kuvaukseltaan, leikkaukseltaan ja monien kohtausten sisäisessä rakenteessa aivan upea teos! Kokonaisuus on toki epätasainen ja tyylilajin vaihteleminen vielä rajumpaa kuin useimmissa tän sarjan Shaweissa, mutta lähinnä asteikolla kohtuullisen viihdyttävä – superpäräyttävä. Itse asiassa niitä harvoja Shaw'ta, jotka on pakko saada lähiaikoina uudelleenkatseltavaksi (en pääse nyt toistamiseen arkistolle).
