The 4th edition of OFF PLUS CAMERA International Festival of Independent Cinema will take place from the 8th to the 17th of April in Krakow, Poland.



Roger Christian, an Academy Award-winning production designer and art director who worked with George Lucas on Star Wars, will lead a lecture and workshops on the creative and technical aspects of production design, focusing on productions requiring the use of special effects. Christian will talk about his experiences in working on creating iconic characters and artifacts, such as robots R2-D2 and C-3PO, the 'Lightsaber' laser swords and the mask of Darth Vader.



One of the most acclaimed casting directors, Ellen Chenoweth, will lead workshops for producers and casting professionals. Ellen Chenoweth will also be a juror in the Polish Dramatic Competition. In recent years, Chenoweth has cooperated with the Coen Brothers, on productions such as "Burn After Reading", "No Country for Old Men" (winner of four Academy Awards) and "True Grit", which was nominated for 10 Oscars this year.
