selvitin että tuo on vuoden 1984 englannin sensuurirallista ehjin nahoin säästynyt uk pre-cert nauha, jolla on historiaa satojen puntien diileistä ebayssa, mutta tällä kertaa menee ennätykset uusiksi

Jepp, tarkistin itse kans äsken kyseinen juttu pre-cert forumissa mitä ne oli kirjoitanut kyseisestä nauhasta:

There is no known UK issues, they all came from Australia! Does it really matter though? It's an Intervision tape!

I see, yes it doesn't really matter it IS only a sticker, i am just interested about it. So how is it considered a Uk pre-cert then?

Intervsion were a UK company! The story goes that these....Fuck it, read 'Shock Horror'

Short answer...

J&HP was prepared by Intervision for release in the UK. When the video nasties furore reached fever pitch the majority of copies were shipped out to Aus for distribution over there.

I would imagine they were dudplicated here and then shipped. Why, because 1/ intervision didn't have an aussie based infrastructure but had an established one in the UK and 2/ because had it been duplicated in Aus with a pure domestic market in mind, they would most likely have printed the Aussie distro address rather than just sticker it.

It would be nice to clarify certain points....but essential....not really...not in my mind anyway. These tapes are for all intents and purposes the exact tapes that were intended for UK shelves. That alone reserves them a seat at the king's table. It doesn't matter one jot to me whether they are or are not aussie derived tapes. They are still intervision tapes, PAL format, with the UK artwork and UK distro address which were announced and pre sold into UK stores. For that reason alone, i'm delighted to have one in my collection. Is it a UK pre cert. I'd have to say no.

An interesting parallel would be with the Aussie VCL release of Salon Kitty which was also intended for UK release but binned at the last possible moment because of certificate shennanigans. All tapes intended for the UK were wiped and all sleeves destroyed. The difference here is that VCL had a domestic duplication plant in Australia and all Aussie releases were manufactured there, with the relevent aussie distro address.

Regarding VML, EVC, cinehollywood, early media, mail order porn etc. Yes these are all non-dom imports into the UK which were then distributed by UK companies.
