Perkeleen hyvältä näyttääkin tuo dvd. Jan Lenican Labirynt (1961) on todella vaikuttava surrealistinen vierailu kaupunkiin, jonka tapahtumien ja (eläin)hahmojen vaikutus näkyy myös Gilliamin huipputöisttä. Siis ylipäätään Gilliamin animaatiot ovat tässä topicissa etsityn tajunnanvirran ytimessä. Hehkutin Lenicaa ja polakki/tsekkianimaatiota Elitistin vanhassa surrealismiketjussa.

Pekka Manninen kirjoitti Tähtivaeltajan numerossa 1/1999 tästä kirjasta seuraavasti:

"Pysyvästi vaihtoehtoisille tajunnan tasoille asettuneiden ihmisten kirjoitukset ovat nykyään jo tunnustettu kirjallisuuden alalaji (ainakin joissakin piireissä). Legendaarisimpiin hullunpapereiden väsääjiin on kuulunut amerikkalainen herrasmies Francis E. Dec, jonka tekstit toistelevat erilaisina yhdistelminä muutamia eleismaailmallisen salaliiton paljastamiseen tähtääviä käsitteitä. Vilho saakin Juha Miedon kännykkänumeron selville, mutta ihme kyllä Juha ei ehdi keskustella hänen kanssaan, eikä varsinkaan kutsua Juha Petteriä puhelimeen. Myös Prinsessa Diana hakee tukea Vilhosta, joka pääsee tutustumaan Dianan uuteen asuinpaikkaan astraalitasolla. Siellä tosin tavarat ovat vielä vähän sekaisin muuton jäljiltä. Vilho leikkaa Iltalehdestä irti Dianan valokuvan, ja juuri tämä ryppyinen lehtileike on pistetty kirjan kansikuvaksikin.

Suurin osa Ihmeiden ihmeestä koostuu kuitenkin jonkinlaisen miesryhmän keskusteluista (tai "porinoista", kuten Vilho Piippo leikilliskansanomaiseen tapaan asian ilmaisee). Kaikki ryhmän jäsenet puhuvat kuitenkin aivan samaan tapan kuin Vilho Piippo ja ovat myös yksimielisiä käsittelemistään kysymyksistä. Itse asiassa jopa kirjan lopusta löytyvät lukijoiden kommentit Piipon aiemmista kirjoista ovat hämmästyttävää kyllä kirjoitettu täysin Vilho Piipon tyylillä...



Ryhmäkeskustelun perusjuonena kulkee idea siitä, että maailmaa hallitsee Byrokratia-nimisen pahan hengen salaliitto. Salaliitto ei suinkaan ole mikään pienen porukan juoni, sillä vähintään puolet suomalaisistakin kuuluu sen valtapiiriin. Nämä henkilöt on koulutettu päiväkodeissa, armeijan yksiköissä ja yliopistoissa tappouhkavelvoitteisen noitavalan tehneiksi saatanoiksi. Tuo noitavala on samansisältöinen kuin vapaamuurarien vala, ja sen rikkojan kieli voidaan repiä suusta, hänen kurkkunsa leikata ja hänet tappaa kiduttamalla.

1. Keisari Beelsebubin usko on kirja, jonka arvoa ei vielä tunneta. Siinä on jopa niin hyvät rauhanehdot, jos minä haluaisin sodat lopettaa, niin kirjoittaisin siitä aivan samalla tavalla, enkä yhtään toisella tavalla. Kouluihin se kirja pitäis saada luettavaksi.

2. Siinä kirjassa on sellaisia asioita, joita ei mistään muualta saa selville. Se kirja minun on luettava uudelleen.

Onko muilla ongelmia tuon Puola boxin kanssa? Kolmessa animaatiossa ei toimi äänet, eikä kumpikaan levy kestä kelausta yli kaksinkertaisella nopeudella?!
