Uusi Terminator-trilogia!.. Tällainen meili tuli just yhdeltä PR-firmalta:

WARNER BROS. AND HALCYON UNITE FOR

TERMINATOR SALVATION: THE FUTURE BEGINS

FIRST INSTALLMENT OF NEXT TERMINATOR TRILOGY

PLANNED FOR SUMMER 2009 RELEASE

Los Angeles (October 24, 2007) — Warner Bros. Pictures has acquired North American distribution rights for the upcoming Halcyon Company Presentation of the Moritz Borman Production Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. The announcement was made by Warner Bros. Pictures President of Production Jeff Robinov and Halcyon Company co-CEOs Victor Kubicek and Derek Anderson. Production on the first episode of this highly anticipated re-launch of the franchise is slated to begin in 2008, with a planned release in summer 2009. John Brancato and Michael Ferris (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines) penned the script. Additional director and casting announcements will be made shortly. The Halcyon Company had acquired all Terminator franchise rights in a previously announced transaction completed in May 2007.

Moritz Borman (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines) will produce with Kubicek and Anderson, and Peter D. Graves will serve as executive producer.

“To be part of the Terminator re-launch is a truly exciting prospect for us,” said Robinov. “The property is an important addition to the studio’s slate, and we are excited to begin collaborating with The Halcyon Company while continuing our close relationship with Moritz Borman.”

“We are honored to have Warner Bros. as distributor on Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins,” said Anderson. “The studio has a superlative track record with some Hollywood’s most successful franchises, and they did a very impressive job with the previous installment in the series.”

Added Kubicek: “Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins is a terrific way to begin our relationship with Warner Bros. They are the ideal partner for this new era in the franchise’s future.”

“This is a dream scenario for me,” concluded Borman, “to be producing another Terminator film with the fresh creative talent at Halcyon, while once again joining forces with Warner Bros.’ accomplished executive team.”
