Voisiko joku katsoa suomalaisen R2-levyn tarkan pituuden elokuvan lopusta? Itselläni on R3-levy, jonka pitäisi sisältää Kreikka-videosta tutut dialogin pätkät sekä vielä graafisempaa väkivaltaa kuin R2-julkaisut, jotka ilmeisesti kuitenkin perustuvat unrated-versioon(?) Jos näin on, niin R3 on ilmeisesti ohjaajan työpöydältä varastettu versio, joka on kuitenkin jollain tapaa päässyt viralliseen levitykseen.

Kuvasuhde on takakannen mukaan 4:3. Jotta saisin tietää onko open matte vai ei, voisi pistää tänne kuvan jostain helposti löydettävästä kohtauksesta.

R3-levy kestää 1.31,36, eli eroa on suoraan verrattuna 3 minuuttia 40 sekuntia. Minkä verran tuossa on heittoa, R3-levy kun on NTSC ja R2 PAL?

PAL-pituutena täsmälleen sama kuin Goosen ilmoittama R2:n kesto.

PAL-pituutena täsmälleen sama kuin Goosen ilmoittama R2:n kesto.

Eikä niitä dvdcomparen listaamia dialogin pätkiäkään ollut mukana. Minua on huijattu! Rahat takaisin ja kuolema kauppiaalle!

tuo versio löytyy, se leikkaamaton hollantiversio (sony) ja julkaisussa on suomitekstit, hinta on näemmä tuplattu varaston ehtyessä

Mikä on pisin dvd julkaisu joka löyty leffasta?



Mulla oli parisen vuotta taaksepäin Espanja levy tästä ja se oli jotain 93min. mutta kuitenkin lyhempi kuin Kreikka VHS joka on jotain 95min.

Kyllä Kreikka VHS versio pitäisi olla ainakin "Gore" uncut ja samalla tähän asti pisin versio jonka olen nähnyt!

Actually it's not that complicated. Basically there are 4 versions of Death Wish II.



The R-Rated version. Can be found on the US DVD. In this version some violence and nudity is missing or tamed down with alternate scenes. -> comparison



The Unrated version. That's the one on most of the european DVDs.



US-TV version. This one was tamed down in sex & violence, but to keep up the running time (to get enough commercial breaks in it) some new scenes have been added.



The greek VHS. That's the longest version of the movie. It's the Unrated version plus the new scenes from the TV version with a running time of 94:46 Min.

OVERALL: Draw

with every "anamorphic 1.85:1" ‑release. Brazilian release is 4:3 open matte. These all are also "unrated".

General notes:

The Greek video release contains the following additional dialog-scenes, which are missing from the DVD-releases. These are presumably from a pre-version.

‑Scene 1:

After the conversation about the vigilante in New York, there are additional 31 seconds of dialog, where the police chief is telling a story about his former partner, which is now dead.

– Scene 2:

After the conversation about Paul Kersey, there are additional 14 seconds of dialog: “I don´t think I heard that question, and I don`t think you ask the questions Mr. District Attorney.”

CUTS:

R1 America – (MGM) – "R-rated" version (88:43 min). Both of the rape scenes are cut. While only the more violent aspects of the maid's rape scene were cut, the daughter's rape scene was almost entirely cut (except for the last few seconds). Also the daughter afterwards is shown jumping out the window, but the US version cuts out the part, where she gets impaled on a fence.

R2 France – (Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment) – No cuts – This version includes all the violent footage, which was cut from the English and American (R-rated) videos. It does not include 3 minutes of narrative footage found on the Greek video release (see notes).

R2 Italy- Sony Pictures/Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment – No cuts (87:57 mins – PAL). This version includes all the violent footage, which was cut from the English and American (R-rated) videos. It does not include 3 minutes of narrative footage found on the Greek video release (see notes).

R2 United Kingdom – (Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment) – Yes – 3 minutes of cuts (85 min – PAL). They re-edited the scene between Kersey's daughter and Cutter. With BBFC cuts, the scene would have jumped from him rubbing her leg to him, finishing having sex with her. Subsequently a scene, where Jill Ireland finds an unconscious Bronson was added inbetween (in the full version this scene follows the death of Kersey's daughter). The infamous scene between Rosario and the muggers suffered also from cuts.

R4 Australia – (Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment) – No cuts (All previous cuts waived) – This version includes all the violent footage, which was cut from the English and American (R-rated) videos. It does not include 3 minutes of narrative footage found on the Greek video release (see notes).
